In 2020, Elias van Dorne (John Cusack), CEO of VA Industries, the world's largest robotics company, introduces his most powerful invention--Kronos, a super computer designed to end all wars. When Kronos goes online, it quickly determines that mankind, itself, is the biggest threat to world peace and launches a worldwide robot attack to rid the world of the "infection" of man. Ninety-seven years later, a small band of humans remain alive but on the run from the robot army. A teenage boy, Andrew (Julian Schaffner) and a teenage girl, Calia (Jeannine Wacker), form an unlikely alliance to reach a new world, where it is rumored mankind exists without fear of robot persecution. Faking to be a client, she sort of wins his friendship during the long drive home. He hangs around a while, mainly because of blizzard and road trouble, but also reconnects with his roots and even plays Santa for a cut-off host family's cute son Tucker, yet remains reluctant to replace Tom in the parade and his blossoming romance with Grace seems compromised.

The story revolves around the planet Shada, on which the Time Lords have constructed a high security prison for some of the Universe's most dangerous criminals. Skagra, a flawed genius from the planet Dronoid, wishes to create a "Universal Mind" in which all the pooled knowledge of the universe's greatest criminals would be placed at his disposal and with which he intends to take control of the Universe. Skagra wants to go to Shada to extract the knowledge of the criminals who have been imprisoned there. Unfortunately for Skagra, knowledge of the location of Shada has been deliberately hidden by the Time Lords, but Skagra discovers that there is a Time Lord living on Earth in the twentieth century who may hold the key to its location. This Time Lord is masquerading as a professor at St. Cedd's College, Cambridge and calling himself Professor Chronotis. Sensing danger, Chronotis calls for the assistance of his old friend and protégé, the Doctor. The story climaxes in a battle for control of the Universal Mind.

They face another potential hurdle in reaching their financial goals when they learn that a Roy's Toys mega store, owned by cutthroat Roy Barnes (Billy Gardell), will be opening in New Britain just in time for the Christmas season. Connie places an injunction on the store opening as it contravenes a long-standing but little known city ordinance. The hearing to decide the injunction will be held Christmas Eve, with their friend, Mayor Ben Stevens (Mario Cantone) secretly telling them that he knows the outcome will be in their favor, but that Roy's can remain open until the hearing. As such, Will suggests to Connie that they join forces, solely on this one project until the hearing, to use whatever legal means they have at their disposal to thwart either the mega store from opening at all or if it does to ensure that all the toy business in town comes their way. If their businesses are able to survive the competition from Roy, Connie and Will may find that they will want to continue their partnership beyond this one project, both professionally and personally, that is unless one of Roy's tactics, which is to divide and conquer, works. But the stated plans may still come to pass, that is unless the legend of a wish of the heart made on the Christmas snow globe that is displayed in Allie's parents' diner is stronger in showing those the collective that perhaps they were meant to spend Christmas in Evergreen together, the wish arguably manifested by the kindly old man hired to play Santa at Evergreen's annual Christmas Festival.

"Faith Filled Christmas" (formerly Salted Christmas), produced by Manifest Pictures, is a faith-based, comedy film centering around one family and their desire to replicate the example of Jesus as they celebrate the Christmas season. The entire film takes place on one Saturday in December prior to Christmas. The tagline of the film is "One family. One day. One purpose." The two main characters, Simon and Emily Fairway (both Caucasians), reside on the independent living side of a retirement community. On this particular Saturday, the retirement community administrator must be out for the entire day at business meetings. She delegates responsibility to her newly hired assistant. A friend of Simon's named Byron, a stir crazy resident, decides that this is his chance to stage an Olympic-style games for the residents of the community. Simon, who is supposed to accompany his wife to visit their children for the day, begs off of going with his wife and stays behind to stage the games in the hope of bringing some Christmas spirit (in the form of laughter and fun) into the community. Now on her own, Simon's wife Emily convinces her friend Betty (a skeptic) to join her for the day. They proceed to the home of Emily's son, Walter, who it turns out is African-American and was adopted when he was 12 years old. Walter and his wife Ruth (also African-American) now have two adopted 17-year-old sons in the home (one African-American and one Caucasian). There is also a Hispanic 3-year-old female foster child in the home. Walter and Ruth proceed to take the foster child to a visit with her biological mother while Emily and Betty join her adopted grandchildren to undertake some evangelism on the beach. One of the adopted boys is hoping to see his biological mother (a homeless woman) while they are on the beach, which does, in fact, take place. The film is a drama with numerous moments of humor and highlights a family actively involved in foster care, adoption, homeless ministry, and nursing home ministry, and the moments those ministries create. It is a film about the joyous adventure which constitutes the Christian life. Because we filmed in South Florida, we were able to create a rich tapestry of cultures and ethnicities throughout the film.

When all the elves get sick, Santa must find a cure on Earth to save Christmas.
