While illegally selling one canister of Trioxyin-5, Charlie Garrison is murdered by a zombie. His nephew Julian Garrison finds two canisters hidden in the attic of his house with his girlfriend Jenny and they ask their friend Cody to analyze and research the chemical product. Cody finds that the composition of the product is very similar to ecstasy and he processes the chemical, making a large quantity of a drug that he called "Z" to make money. Using the services of the local drug dealer, they sell "Z" in the college campus. In the Halloween, the DJ and Jenny's brother Jeremy organizes a rave party. Meanwhile, Julian, Jenny and Cody disclose that the drug transform the users in zombies, and with the support of two weird agents, they try to stop the distribution of "Z".

The scientist of the powerful and evil corporation Hybra-Tech Charles goes to Chernobyl to buy some gallons of toxic waste to perform experiments with zombies. When a teenager has an accident with his motorcycle and vanishes, his teenager's friends, leaded by Charles' nephew, find that he was moved to Hybra-Tech. They break in the facility trying to find their friend and accidentally release a group of zombies starving for brains.

Sarah Walsh is a struggling actress who recently moved back home to care for her terminally ill father. To make ends meet she works as a caterer and, as the film opens, is left to tend to the post-funeral gathering for Hank Boyd, a quiet loner who stood accused of a horrific crime and took his own life before standing trial. Her suspicions grow stronger after she meets Hank's brother David, a local cop with a checkered past, his dimwitted partner Ray who's charged with guarding the house, David's mother Beverly who's in the latter stages of dementia and Aubrey, his distant and obviously damaged younger sister. When Sarah overhears David and Ray talking her suspicions turn to alarm as it's implied they were somehow complicit in Hank's death and may have plans for her as well. Meanwhile Beverly has become convinced that Sarah is her long lost daughter while Aubrey pines for the affections of her big brother when she's not trying to ruin him. As the family is exposed and the bodies pile up, Sarah must give the performance of a lifetime if she hopes to survive, and all because... HANK BOYD IS DEAD it's a little funny.

When they accidentally meet Alex, the girl tells how sick and threatening Three Finger is; sooner the survivals discover that Alex is telling the truth.
