Richard "Richie" Twat and Edward "Eddie" Elizabeth Ndingombaba are two losers who run Guest House Paradiso, the worst hotel in the UK. Guest House Paradiso is next-door to a nuclear power plant, The chef is a illegal immigrant and the waiter is a mental patient who has escaped from a mental hospital. Once the guests check-in, they are dying to check-out. Richie and Eddie's luck is about to change when Gina Carbonara, a Italian movie star checks in and is hiding away from her horrible fiancé Gino Bolognese and the Nice family checks in and Richie discovers Mr. and Mrs. Nice has a rubber bra and underpants. Monte Peterson, a rich real-estate developer, is going through his third divorce. His friend Ray has found a good site for a ski resort in Utah, and Monte comes to bid on the land, competing with local banker Preston Gates. Monte knew that, in order to take possession of the land, he would have to convert to the local religion, a sort of cross between Mormonism and Amish (no smoking, no drinking, bigamy and simple living/dressing encouraged). What he didn't know was that the deed to the land also included the three wives of the deceased former owner. He also buys another plot, and the two wives that come with it, in part because they are much better cooks. Gates, meanwhile, wants the land to build an Indian casino, and is mixed up with some mobsters. In Sam, George sees an unhappy person in every aspect of his life, much like George was before that fateful day. What Sam decides to do for the summer may consider Alyssa Beck (Jena Malone), his pretty classmate and George's next door neighbor. Through the process, George also reconnects with Robin, who admits that she's made some pretty bad decisions in her life. He may not want that reconnection to go too far considering his health. Ultimately, George has much to do to complete all he wants before he dies.
