But this effort is largely unsuccessful and we are left wondering if Pete is real, if Donna is really blind or if Gabriel is the deranged soul of the story.

The second time they travel to India is when Gogol and Sonia are in their late teens, and after a memorable visit to Kolkata and then to the Taj Mahal, they return home. Gogol falls in love with Maxine Ratliff and moves in with her family, while Ashoke spends time traveling, and Sonia moves to California, leaving Ashima all her by herself. The Ganguli family will be destined to travel to India again soon - this time under very different circumstances - and after all have endured life-changing events.

In the dystopian world of 2027 London, humans have been incapable of reproducing for 18 year for an unknown reason, meaning the imminent extinction of the species. Britain is the one remaining civilized society on the planet, which has resulted in people wanting to migrate there, so it has become a police state to handle the immigrants, who are placed into refugee camps. Lowly government bureaucrat Theo Faron, once an activist, is approached by the Fishes, deemed a terrorist group, led by his ex-wife Julian Taylor, whom he hasn't seen in almost 20 years, since their marriage disintegrated after their infant son Dylan's death during the 2008 flu pandemic. Although the Fishes did use terrorist means in their on-going revolution against the state in the fight for immigrant rights, Julian vows that they now garner support solely by speaking to the people, and she wants Theo to use his connections to get transit papers for a young immigrant woman named Kee who needs to get to the coast. Although initially reluctant to do it because of the difficulty, Theo is able to grant Julian this favor, however with the change that he now needs to accompany Kee on her journey. As Theo and Kee progress on that journey, Theo learns more and more about what's going on, including the reason that Kee needs to get to the coast, the fact that no one in the group knows if their end destination even exists, and that his and Kee's lives are in greater danger than he believed when they started the journey. But Theo's sole mission becomes to help Kee at any cost for the survival of the species.

The story is set at the beginning of the 20th century in Sicily. Salvatore, a very poor farmer, and a widower, decides to emigrate to the US with all his family, including his old mother. Before they embark, they meet Lucy. She is supposed to be a British lady and wants to come back to the States. Lucy, or Luce as Salvatore calls her, for unknown reasons wants to marry someone before to arrive to Ellis Island in New York. Salvatore accepts the proposal. Once they arrive in Ellis Island they spend the quarantine period trying to pass the examinations to be admitted to the States. Tests are not so simple for poor farmers coming from Sicily. Their destiny is in the hands of the custom officers.

Biopic of Lord Longford, known for many years for his work with prisoners and prisoners rights in general. The film focuses on Longford's work on behalf of Myra Hindley convicted, along with her boyfriend Ian Brady, of several child murders. Hindley is nothing short of notorious and even Longord's wife is shocked when he announces that he will visit her in prison. When Prime Minister Harold Wilson removes him as the Government Leader in the House of Lords soon after his visits to Hindley are made public, Longford continues to work for her release. A devout convert to Roman Catholicism, Longford sees hope for Hindley when he learns that she too once converted to Catholicism. In the end, his campaign to get her released on parole is for naught when she reveals that other murders took place. Longford stood by his convictions however and never regretted the good work he had done over a great many years.

While Nick's style of cooking is experimenting with flavor combinations in putting together the perfect bite of food, Molly is theoretically allergic to "chef foam", she believing the two major food groups being ranch dressing and bacon, both in large quantities. Even if there were sparks, they would both probably have denied it in being afraid of commitment, albeit each for different reasons. Now in being maid of honor and best man for Amy and James, Molly and Nick have to band together to figure out a way for the wedding to happen after Amy's wealthy parents, who were to pay for the wedding, are hit with a financial crisis. Although a stretch, an alternate venue is proposed in the inn in the Berkshires owned by Nick's father, Charlie Turner. The many problems with it even as a suggestion are that: the inn has been closed ever since Nick's mother, Charlie's wife Clarissa passed away years ago, it having gone into a state of disrepair over time; the country setting does not mesh with Amy's urban sensibilities; and arguably most importantly, Nick and Charlie have long not been on speaking terms in the aftermath of Clarissa's passing. In Nick making the request regardless for his friend, Charlie does agree to let them use the inn. In the process, Molly and Nick have to handle most of the wedding planning on a shoestring as Amy and James attend to family finance business. In Molly and Nick trying to find a common ground around the style and the food for the wedding, the collective five of Molly, Nick, Amy, James and Charlie may truly come to an understand of the meaning of love, both in the familial sense as well as the romantic sense, with Molly and Nick only if they are open to allowing themselves to feel love.

The discovery of an anonymous journal sets April on a quest across New York City in search of the author, all-the-while a fantasy builds which complicates her real relationships.

Approximately 24 hours, from morning to morning, in the life of New York City-based jazz singer Vivienne Carala (Sarah Jessica Parker) is presented. On this day, she has a rehearsal in preparation for a weekend gig starting tomorrow celebrating her 25th anniversary of performing at Birdland - the rehearsal where she knows she will see Jordan (Taylor Kinney), her drummer with whom she has a casual sexual relationship - followed by an interview largely to promote her latest album. Beyond these two items, she will try to fill her day without going home knowing that her overbearing French mother, Jeanne (Jacqueline Bisset), has made another of her unexpected visits. This day is upended in its front side by a medical appointment she has told no one about, let alone her exasperated manager Ben (Common) in she being late for the rehearsal because of it, at which she receives the news of a terminal brain tumor diagnosis - the head pain symptoms which she had long ignored in being too busy to deal with it - with the best case scenario being a 14-month survival, only with treatment. Beyond the commitments of the rehearsal and the interview which are affected by the news, Vivienne, who wants to keep the news to herself for the time being in wanting to live her life, knows she has two logistical issues--needing to tell her ex-husband Nick (Simon Baker), who has custody of their teen daughter Lucie (Gus Birney), they who will have to figure out how to break the news to Lucie; and needing to have one person accompany her to the hospital the following morning, whether that person be Nick or she needing to confide to one other person. Aside from how she will process this news in relation to the people close to her including Nick, Lucie, Jeanne, Ben and Jordan, her own process of dealing with the news internally is affected by, among other things, encounters with two unexpected people, Tessa (Renée Zellweger), an old friend she hasn't seen in a while and who is out celebrating her birthday, and a Lyft driver (Waleed Zuaiter) who also seems to be having a bad day.
