A Little Christmas Charm
Holly Hayes works in her best friend Megan Snyder's Greenwich Village vintage clothing shop, while she designs jewelry on the side, that love and knowledge of jewelry something she learned from her jewelry store owner father, Sam Hayes. When Holly discovers a high end charm bracelet in the pocket of a coat donated to the store, Holly is certain that the bracelet, with many of the charms Christmas themed, was donated in error and goes on a mission to discover its owner to be able to return the bracelet hopefully before Christmas a few weeks away. Greg Matthews, a reporter for The Voice, a proverbial "fluff" magazine, wants to assist Holly in this task as he wants to use Holly as the subject for his assigned "Christmas Hero" story. Greg used to be an investigative reporter, a career he abandoned when he got fleeced on a story that took eight months of his life, the story which almost ruined the life of its subject. Holly, who earlier rebuffed Greg's personal advances in their initial chance meeting, initially resists his help in knowing both that Christmas and the actual bracelet mean nothing to him personally beyond the story, but eventually welcomes his help in coming to the realization that she has hit a wall in her own search. Despite Holly's stipulation that there is to be no personal interaction between the two in accepting Greg's help, the two start to fall for each other. The problem becomes whether their personal connection is predicated on success in their professional connection, which for Greg has the added deadline of December 23rd in a story for his Editor, Sheyla Green, who has reserved the magazine cover for this story.

Fahrenheit 9/11
HDFollowing up on 'Bowling for Columbine', film-maker Michael Moore provides deep and though-provoking insights on the American security system, the level of paranoia, fear, uncertainty, false values and patriotism, which all combined together to set a stage for George W. Bush to launch a war on Iraq instead of focusing on getting the real culprit(s) behind the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. This documentary also focuses on how some Saudis were safely and secretly flown out of America while planes were ostensibly grounded after the attacks. Archived film footage, candid interviews with politicians, and an overall waste of public funds for a war that was initiated on false pretension to wit: a weapon of mass distraction - to take the focus away from the real enemy and get Americans glued to their TV sets to watch innocent Iraqis and Afghans getting killed. And a war that would eventually alienate the U.S.A. and its citizens from almost every country on Earth.
The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them
HDFollowing the death of their only offspring, an infant son named Cody, married New Yorkers Conor Ludlow and Eleanor Rigby - a struggling restaurateur and an academic working on her Ph.D. in Anthropology before Cody arrived in their lives - hit a rough spot in their relationship. Although still loving Conor, El is uncertain if she can bear what Conor represents to her and bear the grief even if Conor is no longer in her life. Following an incident, El decides to disappear from Conor's life, she taking refuge at the suburban home of her parents Julian and Mary Rigby, an academic himself and a musician respectively. Just to keep her mind active and off the thought of Conor or Cody, Julian suggests to El that she return to college and he pulls some strings for El possibly to enter into his colleague Professor Lilian Friedman's class. Despite being a therapist himself, he also tries to get El to see a therapist to deal with her grief. Meanwhile, Conor is facing his own emotional and professional problems, he believing his life being clear when he was with El. The restaurant was in part following his father Spencer Ludlow's professional footsteps, although Conor does not like to believe he is anything like his father in temperament, he who is on his third marriage, each of the previous two which failed. As Conor tries to locate El, he also has to deal with the downward slide of the restaurant, which he opened in another part as a cooperative arrangement with classically trained chef Stuart, a longtime friend who nonetheless doesn't treat cooking with much seriousness. Conor also has to deal with the logistics of packing up his and El's apartment which includes what to do with Cody's belongings. In his loneliness, Conor may fall prey to other women despite still loving El himself. With these two parallel tracks, the question becomes if they can find each other again both physically and emotionally.
